A unique perspective on ACS

I love so many things about Asheville Catholic School. I love that my shy beautiful daughter found the confidence to play volleyball and try out for the school play. I love that my quirky sons can play chess and soccer and that their creative talents are celebrated. I love that my children are not lost in the crowd, that they are not just another kid in the hall. I love the after school program, the focus on community service, and the uniforms that make the morning rush a little less hectic! Most of all, I love the pride in my children's voices when they answer the question, "Where do you go to school?" Asheville Catholic!!

Curriculum

We provide a challenging and comprehensive instructional program, maintain high academic standards for our students, and follow North Carolina curricular guidelines under the direction of professional teachers and administrators with the support of our parent community.

We nurture the presence of Christ in each person, respect learning differences, cultivate Christian leadership, and encourage the development of critical thinking and problem solving, so that our students are intrinsically motivated to become life-long learners capable of adapting to a changing world.

In all other areas of the curriculum, the Diocese of Charlotte aligns itself with the Standard Course of Study as outlined by the State of North Carolina. This listing is a comprehensive outline of the course of instruction in each content area, at each grade level. This information provides an overview of our curriculum. Key concepts in each area of study are provided as a source of reference for parents.
