A unique perspective on ACS

All three of my children have attended ACS from Pre-K to 8th grade and continue to thrive at academics thanks to the firm foundation received at this marvelous school: our students are truly blessed! Unfortunately we do not have a Catholic high school in the area, but believe I can summarize my children's experience at ACS by a recent statement from my youngest child, Emily, now an 8th grader when asked about high schools...' I want to go to high school at ACS.' WOW!

~ Matt Bradley, father of one ACS student and two graduates

Our Mission

Asheville Catholic School is dedicated to the common Mission of the Diocese of Charlotte Catholic Schools.

The Mission of the Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Charlotte is to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel and to develop each student spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially, so that each is prepared to live and serve in a changing society as a self-respecting and responsible citizen. The Catholic schools propose to create an environment in which the teachings of Jesus are promoted and proclaimed as the basis of the values they teach and uphold.

Details about our Faith Formation curriculum are found here:

http://faithformation.charlottediocese.org/

  • Religious instruction in the Catholic faith is a daily event.
  • The students and staff pray together each day.
  • The faculty and students join together every Friday to celebrate the Eucharistic Liturgy.
  • The entire ACS family celebrates special feasts and seasons.
  • Each student is nurtured in living a disciplined life where the love of God and neighbor, the spirit of forgiveness, and continued growth are paramount.
