I love how my life has evolved since I joined Asheville Catholic School. After graduating with my Psy.D. degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 1997, I moved to North Carolina and began my career in private practice as a child psychologist. My internship had been completed in a school, and I found that I missed the consistent and immediate interactions that a school setting offered. I joined Asheville Catholic School in 2000, and have found a home here among the beautiful hearts of the students and staff. I feel proud to be part of a community that continuously encourages you to embrace or realize your value and become your best self, for that is exactly what I strive to do with the students.
During these years, my life has grown to include a husband, two daughters, and an emerging homestead. Most of my personal time is spent at home with my family, expanding our food production or visiting with our flock of poultry (yes, they enjoy sitting in your lap and being adored). I am fascinated by and in awe of the abundance of health provided by God through plants and nature, and am continuously learning more about herbs and making creations with what we grow. I feel like my personal and professional lives mesh wonderfully, with an eye always towards wellness, abundance, and blessings.
